In a word: Collaborative. The most crucial thing that determines your long-term success in practice is the degree with which your Systems, Procedures, and Operations are aligned with your Core Identity as a practitioner. Another way of saying this is, your what and how needs to be an expression of your why. I go into more detail on this important topic on my Coaching Overview page.
I have extensive experience in a successful practice model that I developed, and my coaching process is informed by this experience. But, I prefer not to utilize a top-down approach in my coaching where I dictate to my clients what to say and how to carry out procedures within my specific system. I want to work with you to help you find your authentic voice in practice. I want to guide you to develop your model of practice that best fits who you are as a Chiropractor.
Your success needs to flow from the inside-out. This is why I named my coaching company ADIO—Above Down, Inside Out. Your practice needs to be a direct expression of you. From inside of you.
To that end, often the first step of the coaching journey is an intensive process of introspection and self-analysis to define and clarify key aspects of your Core Identity in practice. This understanding will allow us to, together, formulate a detailed plan of action that will guide you towards your professional goals and ultimately your vision of success.

We were fundamentally a subluxation-focused group of vitalistic family practices. The majority of our clinical decision making was based on a structural model of subluxation correction. Our primary concern was improving the health and performance of our patients’ nerve systems through corrective programs of Chiropractic adjustments and related care.
We stood firmly in the fact that by optimizing nerve system function, we were helping our patients perform better and live healthier, more vibrant lives. In this sense, we were guided by a vitalistic philosophy.
We were also keenly focused on helping as many people as possible through the practices in our organization. We felt that everyone had a right to get their spines checked, and the more families that were in our practices receiving adjustments meant that the healthier and more balanced our community was. I still very much feel this way.
We viewed seeing a high volume of patients as a virtue and we worked hard to expand our reach throughout our region.
Patient retention was another major principle we built our organization on. We understood that people are healthier and can perform better in their lives when they are checked and adjusted on a regular basis regardless of how they feel. Leading people to graduate into Wellness Care was a critical goal of ours.
Having said that, I fully acknowledge that there are many ways to practice. Our specific approach to practice, in our unique context, worked very well for us at that time. I wouldn’t say that this approach fits all Chiropractors. It is not the only way to be successful in practice.
ADIO Chiropractic Coaching is about helping our clients develop the model of practice that best fits who they are and what they want to accomplish.
Not necessarily. I have a lot of examples of procedures, scripts, and communication strategies available in the ADIO Coaching Resource Library. Privileged access to the comprehensive Resource Library is included for all active clients.
While it is possible to simply copy these sample procedures and systems, it is much more beneficial for you to utilize the coaching as a guide to develop your own practice model.
So, the answer to this question is, it is really up to you.
The most important thing is for you to feel deeply connected to your Systems, Procedures, and Operations. It’s important that you have deep reverence for what you say and do in your practice. This will allow you to communicate authentic leadership and advocate from a place of optimal authority. I advise my clients to use my examples as a model, and to develop their own unique voices throughout the coaching process.
I hired, trained, and mentored over 30 Associate Chiropractors in my 15 years owning and operating practices in Singapore. We actively recruited Associates that fit our organizational principles, beliefs, and values. Most (but certainly not all) of the Chiropractors we hired were from Life University, Life West, NZCC, Palmer, and Parker Chiropractic College.
Our Associates were from various countries and backgrounds. Many spoke multiple languages and had broad life perspectives. We were definitely a multi-national organization.
Throughout the years, I developed an effective on-boarding, training, and mentorship program to help our Associates be successful in our organization and beyond. Many of my Associates have gone on to found their own successful practices in various parts of the world.
I remain close to a good number of my past Associates and they are among the most meaningful relationships in my life.
Each video conference coaching session is scheduled for 30 minutes. We will have a well-planned agenda and pre-set framework of topics/ concepts to guide your journey of growth and development as an active client. We work hard to pack a lot of high-quality instruction and discussion into each coaching session, to make good use of our valuable time.
We will often have scheduled email communications in between coaching sessions. This can be thought of as “homework” and will be more common in the first several months of the coaching process. The clients that make the most progress and experience the best results are the ones that remain engaged in the work in a sustained way.
If a pressing issue or question comes up outside of the scheduled structure of the video conference sessions and emails, certainly feel free to email me directly. I will do my best to follow up as soon as possible.
Most importantly, I want my clients to experience what I was fortunate to experience: lasting success and deep fulfillment in practice.
I definitely made mistakes, experienced set-backs, and faced challenges, but, those seemingly negative experiences were invaluable learning opportunities. The wisdom I gained from the challenges propelled me forward, and influence my current approach to coaching and mentorship.
I want you to benefit from my successes and my mistakes.
My goal with ADIO Chiropractic Coaching is to help you gain clarity on what a successful practice and professional life means to you, and to help you achieve that vision. My goals are your goals.
I firmly believe that the only way for our profession to be strong from the inside-out, is for individual Chiropractors to lead successful, thriving practices. Our success as a profession is expressed through vibrant practices and successful practitioners. Conversely, your success in practice is a function of your ability to deeply help your patients experience great results in their lives.
My goal is to work with you to expand your ability to make a profound, lasting impact through your practice—in the exact way that is aligned with who you are at your core.
